The Book of ELI.

Heard of this book before? :)

I don't know if there's such a book called The Book of ELI but I do know of a movie.

Interested? :)

I went to watch this show on a Monday night (22-02-2010), got the tickets for free courtesy of the Malaysian TODAY newspaper. :)

Synopsis

Eli (Denzel Washington) has been on a journey for 30 years, walking west across America after a cataclysmic war that turned the earth into a total wasteland. The world has become a lawless civilization where people must kill or be killed. The barren roads belong to gangs of cutthroats who rob and kill for water, a pair of shoes, a lighter, or just for fun. Eli is a peaceful man who only acts in self defense, and becomes a warrior with unbelievable killing skills when he is challenged. After the war and the "Big Flash", Eli was guided by a higher power to a hidden book and given the task of protecting the book and taking it to its final destination. Eli guards the book with his life, because he knows that the book is the only hope that humanity has for its future.

It's really a good movie! Makes one wonders how powerful GOD can be, be you a Christian, Buddhist or whatever religion. Plus this is like how the Holy Bible came about. I enjoyed the show and a few familiar names popped up.

Sad, is I don't know the main actor Denzel Washington. You might seen him in the movie Taking Pelham 1, 2, 3, for which I did not watch.

Mila Kunis is a familiar name and a familiar face. Although I have seen her once in movies, but I remember her. You might have seen her in the movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall as the hotel counter girl.

Next would be the bad guy of the movie, Carnegie acted by Gary Oldman. No wonder his name sounds so familiar as well as his face. He acted in Harry Potter as Sirius Black! (Yes I AM a Harry Potter fan.) As well as Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. :)

Last but not least is one person that you should always take note of as the movies he produces is totally AWESOME. So far, not one movie he produces is a let down. He's none other than the famous Jerry Bruckheimer. I'm not kidding! Movies like Pirates of the Caribbean is a hit! Others like Confessions of a Shopaholic is GOOD as well as National Treasure. Even G-Force the movie! Upcoming movie would be the Prince of Persia. Now that, is a MUST watch!

This might be different than what I normally write for the movies I have watched. Something new. :)

Suddenly I realized that I have TONS of movies that I have yet to watch and with more coming up, I don't know how to clear my list.

Shattered.

I can't understand

wishing that it will wash your doubts and pain away

New Layout! ♥

As many of you would have noticed, I have changed my blog layout! Again you would think but I figured it was time to change to something more subtle, something not so dark anymore.

Hence, this layout you are looking at right now. Took me about an hour to decide on which to use among so many given templates. Some how I wish I know how to edit templates, so that I can create one of my own. :)

ps : As I was typing this, fireworks/fire crackers are going off around my neighbour hood. What's the occassion?

Getting SOULed OUT!

Had dinner with my aunt at SOULed OUT KL last night. The place is packed! Full house! Wow. I know the place is good but I really did not expect it to be really packed!

Been wanting to try this place for like ages ago and finally I got my chance.

CNY Day 3 - Dinner

The previous post below was lunch. This one's dinner. :D I somehow miss the feeling of family gatherings. This one is nice. Gives me this warm feeling that at least, there's still one side of my family is still around and not broken apart.

Dinner with my uncle and family, my aunt and family as well as my grandmother and mother. :)

Dinner at some chinese restaurant. No idea what is the name or how to describe it to you where is it. All I know is the area is call Menjalara @ Kepong. :) Frankly speaking, the food is just average. nothing too special about it. Just enough and nice to fill our stomach.

You know, sorry about the lighting of some of the pictures. I am so wishing for a DSLR. (Check my wishlist. So you know what to get for me for my birthday next month! *hints*) In a year or two, I'll get it. I hope. :D *prays hard*

CNY Day 2 - The Food.

I am getting lazy to blog.

I procrastinate too much.

I have draft post all lined up, waiting for me to edit and publish.

Gah. Can I get someone to do it for me?

Well I guess I can't. So here I am, blogging away again, I have a few post lined up, so you might see updates this few days. :D Rejoice. Yipee. Right.

Now I do not have pictures of the first day of my Chinese New Year as it was spent at home as well as travelling. So let us start of with the second day. :)

Lunch at relative's place at a far away place. A place called Gita Bayu. Oh the houses there are MAGNIFICIENT! REALLY! I AM NOT KIDDING! The houses there are different from each other, no gates, all with each their own unique design, from modern looking houses to old school.

Here are some pictures I took of the food. :D Yes. Food again. :) Awesomely, home-cooked food is the BEST.

My mother told me that this dish is a must every CNY.

I have not been posting anything about food for a really long time. All I posted was about music, as well as my recent University life. So here, once again, a post on food.

Went to Genting Kelang looking for food to eat. Settled at a some restaurant.
