Everything and More.

I want to do my work, but on the other hand, I don't know how to do my work! Contradicting much! I am doing a research on a building in Rome - The Pantheon. Rome is such a lovely place. Re-watched the movie When In Rome recently and Rome is such a nice place! The buildings there are all so awesome!

Back to my work, The Pantheon is such a HUGE building! The research I am doing on this building right now is too much for me to digest! I read, and read, yet I do not know how to put everything down in my own words! Some info regarding this building is so confusing as well! Like the original building have been burned down a few times, have been reconstructed, some additional parts like the twin bell towers, and was removed late 19th century. But the most amazing part of this building is that the diameter of the building equals to the height of the building! =D

Okays. I can't really remember how wide is the building but I know the wall thickness at the bottom of the Rotunda is at least 6m thick! And the thickness decreases as it goes up until the oculus (which is the circle opening at the top of the building). There's about 3 rows of columns at the front of the building, if I am not mistaken. I am typing all this taken straight out from my brain. No referring to any webpage! I guess that is how much I know by now.

History ain't my strong point. I was never good at historical stuff. So I find it hard to keep focus on doing this assignment, some stuff just does not register itself in my brain! I need all this research going into my brain! Argh. I so want to do this, finish up this assignment and move on, but I can't seem to keep my brain awake, can't seem to stop my eyes from closing every single time! I can't seem to digest the information I have. =S Help~?

At this hour, my stomach is growling. My head is filled with thoughts. My hands are typing. My body is cold. I am just being random.

Imma try read everything again.

There's no turning back right now.

I've got the moves like Jagger.

At first I wanted to blog about something more mellow. About something personal maybe. But suddenly I just had to blog about this!

It's been a really long time since I had some time to paint my nails and so, I digged out my nail polishes and I found that this one actually changed colour! What the heck?! How did it happened? I have got no idea. HAHA. It's freaking hilarious when I saw it, had to give the bottle a few shakes. It was light pink initially. Now it's like off white. Like seriously, can it still be use?

Well, it still smells like what nail polishes are supposed to smell like so I assumed it's still usable. Now to continue painting my nails. HAHA.

Black & White baby~ =)

If it feels right, then aim for my heart.

We are right where we should be.

Are we?

Running through my mind right now is Lighters by Bad Meets Evil feat Bruno Mars & Eminem.

This one's for you and me
living out our dreams
We're all right where we should be
Lift my arms out wide
I open my eyes
and now all I wanna see
is a sky full of lighters
a sky full of lighters

Sometimes in life, we all do wonder at times : Are we where we are supposed to be? Are we doing what we like? Or are we doing something for the sake of doing? Are you happy with where you are right now? Well, I know I am happy being where I am right now at this moment. One short sentence to sum it all up.

At this moment, I am where I am supposed to be right now, living out on my dreams, being my own person.

Life will be beautiful the way you embrace it, just like how life embraces you with ups and downs. So that you know how much your life is worth.

It's time for bed.
myself. life.

Biomass or Rice Paper?

Have the sudden urge to blog. About what? Well, I haven't really got that part figured out yet. So far, I have spent like an hour on Facebook just to LMAO at wall post, comments, and likes! It was really quite a sight! I want to do it again but it wouldn't be that fun anymore. So let's just wait. Hee~

Now, I am doing a research on Biomass. In my head I go like : Bloody hell. How many times do I need to read this thing before I get how it really work? Well, for one thing, I know it's turning waste, organic matters, living plants or what-so-ever into a source of energy. Right? Tell me I am right. What comes after that, I totally am lost.

Biomass, a renewable energy source, is biological material from living, or recently living organisms,[1] such as wood, waste, (hydrogen) gas, and alcohol fuels. Biomass is commonly plant matter grown to generate electricity or produce heat. In this sense, living biomass can also be included, as plants can also generate electricity while still alive.[2] The most conventional way in which biomass is used, however, still relies on direct incineration. Forest residues, for example (such as dead trees, branches and tree stumps), yard clippings, wood chips and garbage are often used for this. However, biomass also includes plant or animal matter used for production of fibers or chemicals. Biomass may also include biodegradable wastes that can be burnt as fuel. It excludes such organic materials as fossil fuels, which have been transformed by geological processes into substances such as coal or petroleum.

Then what? I have to decide what kind of biomass I want to choose as my green job? Oh gosh. I feel a headache coming. Blah~ Lecturer gave me another suggestion. Agriculture. Rice Paper Production. What about that? Well, it's kinda interesting and the scope is smaller. I think. =S

Rice paper usually refers to paper made from parts of the rice plant,[1] like rice straw or rice flour. The term is also used for paper made from or containing other plants, such as hemp, bamboo or mulberry. Rice paper has been used for centuries in Vietnam, Korea, China and Japan for writing and artwork.

But rice paper has also stuff to look into like the plants, you got to be familiar with the types of plants they have for producing different kind of paper. Right? Maybe I should just go into rice paper production and forget biomass? Rice paper production should be a green job too, right?

I am so full of uncertainties.
Screw them.

So, this is what freedom from you taste like.

There's so much I want to say.

Definitely so much that not even this blog can fit! First of all, pictures are not ready so there will be no pictures here. I'll try to grab some from friends. *hunts*

First of all, it's already August. Soon, it'll be Christmas! =D That aside, July was full of sweetness! Well, most of the stuff are sweet except when it comes to assignments and projects. Presentation for our 2nd project fell on the 20th July, Wednesday. It was a long long day for everyone! Especially to those who had little sleep or none at all!

Work all pin up and ready to roll!

Presentation started at approximately 3PM. And it went on and on and on AND ON until 830PM! Gosh. We each have to wait for our turn to present our work and after that, we can't just leave. So everyone waited until 830PM to just be able to pack up and leave. I was so hungry and tired!

First presenter of the day!

Presentation was being critique by 3 lecturers, mainly our studio master and studio master's assistant, as well as our Architecture Head. Extra one would be each of us would take turns to critique our own friend's work as well. Names were called according to the name list. Pretty scary in the beginning to be the one critiquing friend's work, but it all soon became a norm.

So everything came to an end by 830PM and everyone was freaking hungry! Went to have dinner with a few mates and after that, I headed home. I was so tired that I was just too lazy to carry my model down from the car and into the house! Did that the next day though. =P

Next, it was a one day trip up to UTAR Kampar. Excited much! Field trip!! But sorry there would be no pictures to see from my lens unless you would like to Google UTAR Kampar. =P Although at a rural area, the campus was HUGE. A very nice place that we architecture students were asking can we make an immediate transfer to that campus to study? =P The lake view is awesome! After much walking around, and seeing the site, it was time to go back. Left KL UTAR Campus at 9AM, reached KL UTAR Campus by 6PM. Awesome eh~

After that, it was time to go on a 6-days educational trip to Sri Lanka! A land like no other! (That was their tag line) Sri Lanka is a nice place. I can't say very nice, but the places we visited were all designed by the famous Architect - Geoffery Bawa.

Panoramic view taken by Liang Tienson.

I'll hunt for some photos to be included here. A panoramic view of the beach taken by my friend. I love the beach so much that I can just stand there with the waves washing back and front on the shore, feeling the coolness of the water with both my feet, soaking in the sun, listening to the sound of the waves. I have definitely fallen in love with the ocean and the beach.

3-wheeler, or more known as Tuk-tuk.

I guess you can find that in Thailand as well. We had a chance to sit this cute little thing! I even got a little wooden sculpture of this tuk-tuk! =D It's like their taxis there. Or maybe it is! It was fun!

A classic Rolls Royce to feast your eyes on! =D

There's so many places we visited that I can't even keep track which place is which! To mention a few, it would be the Parliment of Sri Lanka, Bentota Beach Hotel, Bawa's Lunuganga's house, Bawa's office/home, The Blue Water Hotel, Lighthouse Hotel and many more. We were supposed to climb up the famous Lion Rock at Sigiriya but because we are running out of time, we can only view it from afar.

Geoffery Bawa's head.

Last but not least, it would be, so far, the only group picture that appeared on Facebook. The other one would be with one of my lecturer. Smiling brightly on the first day, but after 5 days, we were all exhausted, and just yearning to feel Malaysian soil again.

Happy faces!

If time allows, I would love to post about my Sri Lanka Trip. But for now, I need to be doing research.

Blah.
Sometimes I do dislike being a student.

It's time to let go and be free.
