Quota ♥

There are things we don't want it to happen but have to accept, things we don't want to know but have to learn and people we can't live without but have to let go.

SYDNEY #3 | Light rain and exhausted bodies

The final day to enjoy Sydney and what the city has got to offer. So starting the day as early as possible like mentioned in the previous post, but today was just slightly later. Being so exhausted from the night before, we still managed to get up and got ready to head to our scheduled destination - The Grounds of Alexandria!

So here's how it went.

DAY 3

At the Ground of Alexandria before the crowd arrives.

We actually arrived to the Grounds before the crowd arrived. The Sunday brunch kind of crowd, that required us to queue just to find out we need to wait for another 15-30mins to get seats for 6 pax. But we ended up somewhere else for brunch. Before we headed off from this lovely place, we obviously did a little exploring by ourselves, bought some donuts to munch on for we all weren't that hungry to start with. I wonder why...

Headed off to Newtown by bus. Newtown is such a hipster town that I immediately took a liking to it! So many cafes and street views to explore. And also in conjunction with Mardi Gras that day, we got to witness so many queer and unusual sights of people all dressed up for the occasion. It was so colourful! After dropping by at the Black Star Pastry for their famous Strawberry Watermelon Cake, we followed the crowd and entered a Mardi Gras event located at a nearby park. It was pretty crowded, filled with so many things to see and eat. We grabbed some food within the event area, then headed out as soon as we were done exploring.

We headed to Cuckoo Callay, as recommended by a friend, to sit and chill since we were all feeling pretty exhausted, results from the past 2 days. After our meal, we headed back to the hotel to change and went for dinner at Hurricane Grill & Bar. A good nice dinner to commence the trip I'd say. although not as filling as we thought it would be, it was still a good view from where we were seated. Did I mentioned it was raining in the afternoon? The rain eventually stopped and the restaurant opened their blinds to a magnificent city view.

Cuckoo Callay for a late lunch.

Dinner at Hurricane Grill & Bar.

Huddled together before heading back to the hotel.

It was definitely an exhausting day for all of us. Especially the last night for 4 of my friends. We took some good photos to commemorate the trip as they had an early flight to catch the next morning.
