It only happens once a year.
It's a time when hopeless can be romantic, and a resolution can become a revelation.
And when one night can change everything.

And when one night can change everything.
New Year's Eve.
Sometimes we wish we can wash away the past year, and focus on the new year that's coming. But sometimes, it ain't that simple. Today is just another day, like every other day. Yet once today is over, we find ourselves in the shoes of a whole new year - 2012. Here I am, sitting in the comfort of my own home, blogging away. It's the last day of 2011! Time do fly! And why am I blogging away when I could be somewhere else, doing something totally different and having fun? Because I've just watched New Year's Eve the movie and I love it! :) Not only the movie has so many famous stars in it, but it also teaches us that it's not only New Year's Eve that we have to learn to appreciate.
Michelle Pfeiffer.
and many more stars such as Hilary Swank, Jon Bon Jovi, Alyssa Milano, Jessica Biel, Russell Peters, Sarah Jessica Parker, Abigail Breslin, Jake T. Austin, Hector Elizondo, Michael Bloomberg, Matthew Broderick, and not to mention, Ryan Seacrest himself!
Synopsis
This movie, is just like Valentine's Day movie. It features the lives of several couples and singles in New York intertwine over the course of New Year's Eve.
There's always the ball drop at Times Square New York every New Year's Eve. In the movie, the ball got stuck halfway due to some electrical shortage. And what I actually like is the speech one of the character gave.
"It's suspended there to remind us before we pop the champagne and celebrate the New Year, to stop and reflect on the year that has gone by. To remember both our triumphs and our missteps - our promises made, and broken. The times we opened ourselves up to great adventures - or closed ourselves down, for fear of getting hurt. Because that's what New Year's is all about: getting another chance. A chance to forgive, to do better, to do more, to give more, to love more. And stop worrying about 'what if' and start embracing what would be. So when that ball drops at midnight - and it will drop - let's remember to be nice to each other, kind to each other. And not just tonight but all year long."
Let's slow down, pause, stop, to reflect on ourselves, for this year, the ups and downs, highs and lows. To remember what we have gone through this year, was it good enough, or was it something you can do better. We might not be able to turn back the hands of the clock to 2011 anymore, and 2012 is just another year, no different than the other. Let's enjoy these last few hours of 2011, before the clock strike twelve, have you fulfilled your resolutions for 2011? Have you done what you wanted to do before 2012 comes?
"Remember, second chances don't expire until midnight."

Happy New Year everyone!
“New Year's eve is like every other night; there is no pause in the march of the universe,
no breathless moment of silence among created things that the passage of another twelve months may be noted;
and yet no man has quite the same thoughts this evening that come with the coming of darkness on other nights”
- Hamilton Wright Mabie.
