There are things we don't want it to happen but have to accept, things we don't want to know but have to learn and people we can't live without but have to let go.

Avatar.

This, I can say is a wonderful movie. I can't say it's the movie of the year but after missing to sessions to watch this movie with friends, and after hearing friends gossip about how good this movie was, I ended up watching it as well, on the afternoon of Christmas Eve.

True enough, this is one movie not to be missed. So many things that's shown while you watch this amazing movie. Reminds me of how we used to fight for our land centuries ago. Reminds me of fighting for what is rightfully yours.

Here's a short summary of the movie :

In the future, Jake, a paraplegic war veteran, is brought to another planet, Pandora, which is inhabited by the Na'vi, a humanoid race with their own language and culture. Those from Earth find themselves at odds with each other and the local culture. Written by Giorgio_C

When his brother is killed in battle, paraplegic Marine Jake Sully decides to take his place in a mission on the distant world of Pandora. There he learns of greedy corporate figurehead Parker Selfridge's intentions of driving off the native humanoid "Na'vi" in order to mine for the precious material scattered throughout their rich woodland. In exchange for the spinal surgery that will fix his legs, Jake gathers intel for the cooperating military unit spearheaded by gung-ho Colonel Quaritch, while simultaneously attempting to infiltrate the Na'vi people with the use of an "avatar" identity. While Jake begins to bond with the native tribe and quickly falls in love with the beautiful alien Neytiri, the restless Colonel moves forward with his ruthless extermination tactics, forcing the soldier to take a stand - and fight back in an epic battle for the fate of Pandora. Written by The Massie Twins

That's Neytiri, the Na'vis main actress.

One of my friend said their bonding with the living and nature is like the USB port. Some how I think that maybe they are so hi-tech which makes them say that. HAHA. Furthermore, life at Pandora was so much more beautiful. Nature is always beautiful, full of wonders and pure.

We humans are selfish, wanting something that does not belong to us and will use any ways to get it. Even if it means destroying mother nature to get it. Destroying mother nature would be like destroying the earth. Appreciate what mother nature has gave us and not take it for granted. Go green people!

Rating : 8/10

Glad I did not miss it after all! It's true that there's a moral behind this movie which is for you to find out yourself! :)
